I have 1995 4.0 that I what to swap into a 2000 3.0. Do have to do any electrical work? Will the transmission bolt up to the 4.0 from the 3.0.. are the bell housings the same?

the 3.0 is ODBII your are ODBI unless you are in cali. the wiring for the motor is differnet as is the computer and exhaust and tranny. you are also putting in a motor with less power and the same fuel milage. the fuel system from 95 to 2000 is also different one fuel line to two low presure line. better off getting a 4.0 again or v-8 you can do a 4.0 sohc if you want to try and reuse something.

most people put newer engines in older rigs just cuz, its a little wierd. you will probably have to do a buttload of wiring and put the 4.0 transmission into the truck with the engine. the 3.0 tranny wont bolt to the 4.0. since the 3.0 and 4.0 are different and its from different generations (gen 3 and 4) you could just swap the pcm from the 95 into the 00
