Default 2001 ford ranger 3.0 flex fuel engine?

i need a flex fuel 3.0 engine for my 2001 ford ranger. i found someone with a 3.0 that came out of a 2002 ranger that was wrecked but the problem it is it "OUT" of the truck literally meaning no way that I know of to compare the vin number. so my question is simple or so I think it do I determine if this engine is a flex fuel engine? the guy says by the intake there is this number/letters>>>>RFE79E9K161DA. Is there a way to look at the motor and tell or do I have to wait til ford opens back up to tell me this with the calibration numbers? This motor is going to sell quick Im sure so hoping someone can help me out with this question...thanxs!
