Looking into buying performance products that will give my 3.0 more power. Iv looked into flashpaqs and spark plugs but idk if they really give you that much more power.. Mpg isn't an issue. Can someone please help me out!!! Iv been looking forever on the web! HELP!!

Some things helping for mine are installed already(listed below)already did tune up and upgraded the spark plugs... I am also upgrading the ignition coil to MSD, going with larger plug wires, and flowmaster... for now. Other things like shorty headers are available.

Oh for sure? And with the plugs did you see a hp gain? And I'll definitely look into ignition coils.. I read that throttle body spacers increase power too.. You know anything about that?

Its nothing to even register... a bunch of things together make a small bit. The tuner is the most noticeable. Plugs no matter what you go with will not show much of a difference if none.

Got the K+N drop in box filter, 3" intake, the spacer-Taylor helix power tower...

Ignition coil upgrade will improve throttle response. I like MSD the most, but there is Screamin demon, and Accel as well.

Tuners, I researched and ended up going with Superchips due to sale price currently. They all do close to the same amount, +9hp, and +13torque.

Oh the old "more horsepower" thread again.
Lets beat thus subject with a big stick and see if we can get any new results, lol.

Waiting, waiting, until someone says "drop a 302 v8 in it".

Really its a 3.0l truck, its still has more power than the 2.3l, so just leave it be.

Drop some money into exhaust, a tuner, a supercharger (cause really a supercharged 3.0 ranger is something to brag about).
Even with a super chips flashpaq tuner, u are really only going to notice shifting differences, not much horsepower change.

Not sure if the underdrive pulley change is a big difference either

I would just ditch everything and buy a supercharger. By the time you have achieved your target HP & Torque you might as well have bought a supercharger. Ive seen 4.0 mustangs supercharged. One put out 320 hp. (mustang 4.0 stock is rated at 210hp) He also did little things here and there but the supercharger ramped it up there.
