I have a 2003 Ranger with the 3.0 Vulcan, and a five speed manual and 175k on everything. I'm told these are great motors internally and should last a good while longer than that. This is going to be my commuting vehicle though and I was wondering if in a year or two it would be possible to swap in the 2.3L without changing transmissions. Does anyone know if the bell housing pattern's the same?
