Default Broken vacuum line!?!?! Help!?

Okay this is something I noticed months ago but didn't pay any mind because the trucks running fine.

Okay so this is it. I have a broken vacuum line going to something on the fuel rail which I believe is a fuel pressure dampener. Today I had the truck running blocked the vacuum line and the truck didn't stall idle didn't change at all.

If anyone can tell me what exactly is going on. Is that vacuum line nessicary. what exactly is that on the fuel rail

I am not sure on the line but give it some time you posted this a few minutes ago...I am sure once people start getting home from work or to work and checking on here you will get some info...

Complaining that nobody has replied after 6 minutes is rather rude.

You created the thread at 5:42pm. Then at 5:48 you replied to your own thread saying "Anyone?". That is complaining. That is not "adding to it". Seriously, there are people who might know the answer who will just say "well F him" when you do something like that. It's rude.

If I offended anyone I apologize. These forums where made to help people not to point out the second someone makes a mistake. Did you even read the post or did you just instantly see oh he posted twice within a period of 6 minutes lets point that out. Hostility is not needed im simply asking a question.

It's not complaining at all, a little bump on the post keeps it alive. It is complaining and rude when someone feels the need to jump down someones throat just because they are a little impatient. JMO

Yup.
Honestly it doesn't. but really thank you for trying . That diagram was a bit difficult to read and had an egr system on it. I may be wrong but i think in 2001 the 3.0 didn't have a egr system. Is that diagram for a 4.0 ohv?

----------

Btw thanks for everyone that cleared the whole complaining thing up.

Really what's so weird is that I would have never known that vacuum line was broken the truck runs great no CEL's. Maybe a little bad gas mileage cause it needs a tuneup and my lead foot. and it's been broken since I got the truck. It's weird to have to post about not having a issue. I'm just curious to what exactly it is and if it's needed for proper operation cause so far it hasn't been
