Default Help!!

Today I got the bright idea to clean up my engine with some degreaser and a water hose.. well when I started it back up I had a horrible Mis fire.. I've pulled every sensor that i could find and blew them off with the air hose and checked all the plugs, not showing any codes and is driving me crazy, any suggestions?

----------

I have an 03 2wd 3.0 btw

A little water won't hurt it as long as you let it sit and dry before starting

it's the wires or the coilpack........my bet is the coilpack......it gets little cracks in it and the water went into them(ask me how I know)....

----------

you could try the "let it sit ni a bag of rice" idea but my guess is once the CP gets went inside it is usually toast......

If you own a $20 code reader? If you created a detailed signature? If you have C+ English skills? If you can answer questions? If you have a desire to fix your truck? ......Then I can probably help. I am not everyone's cup of tea!..... I am a little obsessed about actually accomplishing things.

you replace the wires if they are old(you can test ressistance).........you can try the bag of rice idea with the coilpack( you can test ressitance on the coilpacks also).get a haynes manual and it will show you how......if that does not work .you buy a new coilpack and pray that it was the issue.you could always try a junkyard one if cash is short.........I would use my code reader and see if I could catch a pending code.........

Good to hear next time just cover certain electrical components(distributor, alternator, fuse block, maybe battery) with a plastic bag or similar to keep water out
