hi all! any of you 3.0 owners ever had to replace a valve cover gasket becasue of oil leakage? if so how would i start any goodstep by step manuals or walkthroughs around?

I did both on my 4.0. Really easy. Just unbolt the covers, clean up, silicone the corners, put new gasket on, bolt cover back on.

(may be necessary to move some other things out of the way first - had remove upper radiator hose on mine, but I think that was it)

new to the whole bym(back yard) thing. now i was wondering becasue like you said the objects in the way.

Oh, get a service/maintenance manual from the local store. I've had good luck with HAYNES manuals. Worth every penny of the $20 over and over again.
