Default Truck won't stay running after resetting codes

I just replaced a temp sensor sender on my truck and the truck ran fine before i reset the computer. Now it stalls out after 20seconds or so of rough idling. I do now have a good temp reading. I was having issues with no temp gauge reading before and codes P0171&P0174. I also have done spark plugs,MAF sensor, coolant temp sensor, and thermostat. I'm thinking it may be linked to my IAC but why would it fail now after just resetting the computer?

You need to let us know the info of your Ranger and we may be able to help. Now with those codes a would say you have a vacuum leak somewhere, you may have knocked a vac hose loose, like the PVC hose. you may even hear it. The chance of both Oxygen sensors going bad at once is pretty slim.

Torque it down till it breaks off, then back it off 1/4 turn.

Default Re: Truck won't stay running after resetting codes

My trucks a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 2wd Auto 3.0. I checked for leaks with a propane torch first thing today before i did the temp sender i could find anything.

It still doesn't make sense that resetting the computer would make anything worse. The truck was running good before i disconnected the negative from the battery. It doesn't make sense.
