Hey all!

I've got a 2000 Ranger, V6 and it does the following:

Idles rough
surges real bad when driving
Gas dripping out of the tailpipe
Smells like a firecracker, but no smoke anywhere

A head gasket was blown and fixed about 6 months ago, but now this! It's got about 240k miles on her..

Any help would be greatly appreciated! One of our mechanic friends said it might be the coil, but it seems like it's misfiring and not burning all the gas..

Do a tune up with plugs and wires and check the coil pack. Ive never seen gas come out of the exhaust though.

Sounds bad.
First are u sure it's gas coming out of the tail pipe, and not water??

I would do new plugs, wires, etc. Also check the oil level.

Any check engine codes or not?

Thanks guys! We're going to replace the plugs and wires today along with the fuel filter. Oil level is good and yes it is for sure gas that's dripping out of the tail pipe. So weird, but it is..

No lights came on on the dash either.
