I used SCT by Brenspeed on my '06 mustang & my '09 ranger. A performance tune (x-2) for the mustang and a trailer towing tune (x-3) for the ranger. X-3 is their latest version.Their web site will list all the functions. www.brenspeed.com

I just noticed that your Ranger is a '95. Computer programers work on 1996 and up vehicles.

If I couldn't use a programer, I'd go w/ 4:10 gears. That should give your truck what you're looking for. By the way...nice write-up on blinker mod.

it has 3:73 gears in it and it pulls nice but starting on hills is kinda scary it might just be me and the 5 speed

i dont think you can use the programmers as i think you need obd2, you have obd1.
With the programmer you can change axle ratio in the computer, tire size, gear shifts, ect.
you have a manual so just getting some 4.10 gears will help you out a lot.
you might also wanna start upgrading stuff like pulleys, e-fan, etc.
