Default Performance for 3.0

What kind of add on parts will give me the best bang for the buck?--some kind of idea (torque,HP)I have stock internals---also I'm having sheer hell searching & posting. Can somebody point me the right way I'm using the iPhone app. I didn't even really find or get to say much. If this gets read by someone I didn't waste almost 3 hrs. (Completely)

i own a 93 3.0 and i have found 2 performance parts for my truck. K&N Filter as the guy above said and a twin turbo kit on ebay which in my mind is dumb as hell, i drive a truck not a rice burner.

Invest in a SuperChips Flashpaq Tuner.
Really make a difference, other than dropping a V8 in it lol.

But yeah k&n air filter, maybe cold air intake, or at least do the air silencer removal mod, new plugs and wires, etc..

Cold air intake gives more low end torque. And I use the FRF app it takes a little gettin used too just mess around with it and it starts making sense

The simple things, K&N Air Filter, Make sure the throttle cable does not have slack in it, this is referred as "throttle cable mod", and also you can take the restrictor out of the air filter box, It may help let more air in this is referred as the "air box mod" (mostly this makes it sound better or louder) when stepping on the gas though, adding synthetic oil can also help a little. Lastly, don't rule out a tune-up

Unless your building a performance rig I've yet to find one solid reason to swap out a perfectly fine engine for a v8. People must be in a hurry to spend 2000+ and have crap gas milage. If you wanted to have high performance you shouldn't of got a truck you should of got a sports car

Ditto.
I'd only put in a v8 if I was dirty rich, or if my v6 went bad and I had the money and time to put in a v8

Just do the simple things and enjoy your truck, I have a 3.0, It's no rocket but, runs great and is super reliable.

Forreal. I love my 3.0 I don't care if your engine has more power and claims to have better mpg. It gets me where I need to be in good time with decent mpg and pulls whatever I need it too. My manual says my truck is only rated for towing 2700 pounds when I've pulled a 4000 pound dual axle horse trailer without a problem

The only thing I don't like about my 3.0 is going through the mountains. It has struggles with a lot of the highways around here
