Hi,
I'm completely new to this forum. I am doin a rebuild on my 99' 3.O v6 flex fuel ranger. I am instaling the crank bearings. I have popped in all but the front main upper bearing. It won't fit i've tried everything and out of frustration I decided to take the cap with the old bottom bearing and sit it on the bearing that won't fit and hammer the cap to force it in. Obviously I killed the bearing. Why did all of the others go in fine without any tools? What am I doing wrong?
I've included pictures of other bearings installed correctly, method tried out of frustration, damage done, and example of clearance issue using front bottom main bearing which has yet to suffer my wrath.
