Default Temp gauge bounce

While idling my trucks temp gauge bounces slowly.. Any body know why?
95 ranger 3.0 2wd, Painted Radio Bezel, 10 inch sub, 4 excelon speakers, 400 watt amp for sub, 400 watt amp for speakers, under-dash led lights, 15 inch wheels and tires from a explorer, K&N Air filter

Maybe the sensor right next to your thermostat has a loose connection or went bad. Never had this happen but that's what I'd check first.
2002 3.0 v6 2wd White with blue stripe
New tranny, heads, valves, wire harness, instrument cluster, CPS + sensor, free!brake pads, alternators, and starters for life! New MAF, radiator, hoses, coil pack and too much to list everything

Drive it hard, break it, and when you get to fix it you can trust it better.

If it slowly gains in temp, and then slowly moves back to cooler on a steady pace, it may be your thermostat.
