Default Ticking noise and shaking (Video)

Hi folks.

My ranger makes this ticking sound that increases with the speed of the truck and also when the truck is at idle. The truck idles at about 500-1000 rpms. Its the v6 3.0 with 169,400 miles on it. Havent done an oil change just yet but will. It also has a shake to it that sometimes gets pretty shakey. Not quite violent but its enought to notice it. Any input will help. Thanks

That's what mine sounded like when I had arcing on one of my spark plug wire boot. It was arcing to the engine. I only figured it out because it was dark out and I could see it.

I have a tick that sounds like that but it ONLY ticks at idle and only seems to tick on colder days. No clue what it is, ive had it probably since 160k. Ive looked under the hood on my truck several times at night, never see anything going on with the spark plugs. They are new too.

Exact same issue here, Never seen anything with spark plugs. I've heard it could be a faulty tensioner. But not really a big deal at all.

The ticking turns to a squeak put your finger on the cam shaft sensor if the noise matches what you feel it's probably camshaft sensor and or synchronizer assembly sensor is $20 assembly about $100 at least that's what it was for mine I did both but waited about 8 months till it started running really crappy. Wouldn't suggest waiting

The tick you hear when you you first start your the noise you are hearing is the hydraulic lifters. Once oil fills them it goes away this is too
