Default question about my motor

i have the 3.0 and before i got it lifted everyone was saying it's gonna be a slug.

after i got it lifted it pulls really hard and still will go about 70 no not down hill.

my question is the valve covers say v6 3.0 but is it posible that it's really a 4.0? is there any other way to see what it really is? when i bought it they said it was a 3.0 i just want to make sure of what i really have

thanks everyone

What size are your tires? A lift alone won't affect power.

Where youre gonna feel it the most is off the line... once the truck has momentum the lost power won't be as noticable as when you're going from a dead stop... I see that in my 4.0... definately lost some time off the line and I lost 5th gear all together but I can still go just as fast as I always have...
