Default clutch? rearend?transmission?

I have a 5 speed transmission lately its been really difficult to get into gear. I have clutch, slave, and master on the to do list. But my other concern is when i have the truck in gear and i release the clutch to take off i have a clunking, noise coming from underneath that jerks the truck forward. Sometimes its louder than others. Any idea what this could be??

I would assume that he would since he has had this truck for a while..... lol

I have the same issue. took it to ford 3 times and they couldn't figure it out.
check all the rear suspension components, u-joints, trans mount, etc.

The clunking noise could be U joints, something going bad in the rearend, or the rearend could be loose on the springs, or the springs loose where they attatch to the frame, just have to get under it and do some checking.
