Default Little critters, BIG problems!

Greetings, one & all. I've got a problem. Somehow a lil tiny chipmunk decided to use the air intake (2000 3.0 Flex) as his storehouse. I went to start it, and found the idle riding high. I thought my butterfly valve was stuck.... and it was. I managed to get 1 acorn out, but the valve shot back closed & launched at LEAST one more into the upper intake..

4 things can happen:

1: Nothing (Which is impossible)
2: Stuck intake lifter (Very BAD!)
3: increased gas consumption (BAD)
4: Find a way to run on acorn oil

Before I tackle this venture, are there any hints ya'll would like to give?

25 views, and not a single nugget of wisdom? I'm no troll, I just want a lil advise before I go blindly into this project, armed only with a Chilton's manual & a 154 piece tool kit

Your gonna need to take the intake off then. Which is a decent amount of time. You may need to take one sides valve cover off to get the intake out, but i can't remember on the 3.0's.
i forsure wouldn't run it unless you have to move it, and i also recommend changing your oil after and just keeping an eye on your antifreeze after it to.

Start simple, that acorn will be where you least expect it.

Also, begin chipmunk genocide.

Screen the intake with a thick metal screen, clean out all the acorns and let that one acorn get smashed and ground up by the intake lifter.
I seriously doubt the lifter is flimsy enough to get damaged by a acorn when that lifter in going up and down more than 30 times a minute.
It will get slowly chewed up, compressed, and blown into and burned in the exhaust pipe and converter....
Preventing that critters access should be the priorty...

Toss a grenade in there, and that chipmunk will surrender.
