Default Bigger fuel injectors

I ran across a blog a few days ago that said putting 19 lb/hr injectors on a 3.0 will increase the hp drastically. I was wondering if anyone on here has done this to their truck. Tell me what yall think about this idea.

I would think it is just a big waste. All you will do is dump more full in with the same amount of combustion air. All it will do is make your engine run rich and get you worse gas mileage. And no adding a cold air intake will not help any as the intake on a Ranger is designed to get the most air into the system.

I would think something will have to be reprogrammed in the computer to accommodate this. The computer regulates fuel to match the air. (It knows how much air based on the MAF reading). If you alter the injectors, the computer will not know that and will not react accordingly.

thanks for the help guys but I was thinking about the air/fuel ratio but in theory if i can change them through the computer and reset them ratio i should get more power right?

You would need to increase the capacity of the intake and the exhaust to accommodate this. Larger tube, TB, MAF, and filter (without opening it to the hot air under the hood!). Exhaust headers, pipes, etc.

exactly what he said ^^^
i know that the 3.0 flex fuel motors have bigger injectors than the non flex fuel ones (24lbs i think), but you'd need to get the computer re-tuned, a larger throttle body and intake, headwork to increase airflow, better headers and exhaust to actually make the work noticeable.
