ewwwww!!!!! Why would you do that to a perfectly good Ford? And on top of that a Mustang! I will now take a moment of scilence for the thought of putting a pony through such cruel and unusual punishment...

I just like the LS based engines over the 5.0. Its just a Mustang anyway. If its fast and looks good I don't care what powers it. I had a 1993 RX7 Twin Turbo and I would swap in a LS engine in there if I bought another one. Well rotaries are just money to make fast and maintain.

the way i look at things.......

if you want to build an all motor drag monster go with ( i hate to say this) a ls1 or ls2 engine. chevys been beatin ford all motor since th late 80s. thats for an all motor with no power adders.

if you want to build a technical track rape machine swap a 302 in to your ranger then stroke and overbore it to a 333 or the like. fords engines are lighter then chevys any day. the 302 a good choice for the size and weight. the 302 only 40 pounds heavier then our 182( 3.0) good handling and P/W ratio and less number crunching for suspention and the engine.

if you really want to freak everyone out swap the 2.3l turbo from a caprice or something. build up the motor right, push 30 pounds and run 11s or 12s out the back door.

of course this is all if you got the money to do so and have time on your hands. good luck!!!!

im not trying to build a track truck... i want one to raise hell around town ..... a pinto with a 427 twin turbo, 351 boosted fox body, and a 64 fairlane with a 501 chrysler motor handle my track needs... thanks to Smith Performance Racing

I used to subscribe to Sport Compact Car. They were always taking rusted out POS car, or cars you just don't expect to be fast, and building them up for the purpose of smoking 'Vettes and 'Stangs to embarrass the hell out of them.

if im drivin it no one take me or the pinto serious, till they see Smith Performance Racing on the back glass..... Scott Smith is like a speed legend around here... the pinto is a beast but i suck at drivin it, i spin, wiggle, or jump...but i did run a 10.21 and spun hardcore off the start. i think scott run a low nine or high 8 but im not sure.. ive only been to the track 3 times with him and i raced all three

i like vettes and stangs... nothing against them or any muscle car cuz i like them too, but i just think its fun to act all dumb, call a douchebag in a v8 out (not all are but i single them out) and then wax his ass... thats just fun haha...
this only works on the streets.... ive never seen a 4cyl run 8s... or 9s even

it came off a CAT tractor but scott had it modified slightly... its about to be put on our 427 and stuffed into the pinto...(and yes the 427 will spool it up)

little bit of pipe and u can make a cold air easy yourself. probably the fastest cheapest mod is headers big up in power for under 300 bucks
