well im 4 days without my truck cause i dont wanna cause any damage it starts and idles fine but when u put in gear and try to accelerate it sputters it does get up to speed just slowly and feels like its gunna shake apart iv changed fuel filter coil pack mass air flow egr valve iv checked my plugs and wires and vacum lines i just checked the fuel pressure and its 10 psi not running and 65 while its idling no idea what to do next it is a 98 3.0 4x4 175,000 ran great till last fri when this all started it started only sputtering a lil and it got worse way quicker any info would help thanx

i was thinking clogged cats think pressure testing the fuel eliminates the fuel pump

What does the fuel pressure do when you bring the RPM up?

but u also gotta remember that there are different ranges in a fuel pump like an rc truck..

it may have good fuel pressure at an idle but when you give it gas its supose to push more fuel through... it happend on my big truck, it was backfiring through the intake.

I.reved it up with the gauge on and it didn't go up to much but reving it up it fine its once I put it in gear and let off the clutch and try to accelerate that it sputters

And no smoke coming from tail pipe

The fuel pressure should remain fairly steady. It can drop down to I think the upper 40's under heavy load / high rpm. It shouldn't be going higher. So it sounds like the fuel pump and pressure regulator is working just fine. You've also replaced basically everything else I would have suggested you check. Not sure where to go from here.

Yea I'm completely stumped!! Going to try some dry gas and have the check engine light checked now that I put the egr valve on. If those don't work I guess ill have to put it in a shop which I hate to do cause there just gunna dick around and waste my damn money like I already have been

I didn't see it above but have you replaced your IACV? My 2.5L did the same thing, threw a code & would barely start i had to rev it to keep it going. For the $40 part it'd be worth a shot, either that I think point to the cats.

That should only effect it at idle. His is the opposite. Fine at idle, craps under power.
