Airbag light CODE 19?
I just replaced the airbag light under the dash because my ranger was making a repetitive dinging sound.After i replaced the light, the dinging went away...but now I have a flashing airbag light. I think the code is 19. It blinks once then again 9 times. After a few times of that it stays on i believe(cant remember now, i Just did this a minute ago).
Can anyone help me with this issue please?
Ive heard it was the RCM or something like that but I'm not too familiar with this stuff. This is my first Ranger. It is a 99 xlt 4x4, 4 door stepside . V6 3.0
Any help is much appreciated!

Airbag code 19 is RCM crash memory full. The only way to fix this is to replace the module.

code 19 is crash data memory full...the only time you get that code is if the truck was in an accident that blew the airbags...need a new rcm

OK. Thanks a lot guys. Is that something I will need to go to the dealer for? Or can I pick one up at junkyard?

You can do it your self. The module is located under the dash, On the floor right on the transmission hump. The cup holders cover it up.

anything airbag related id go to a dealer...sure it would cost more but you know its brand new and never been involved in an accident

Yea def. going to cost more. The dealer wants $240 for the RCM + labor. Cant go that route right now. But, the dealer said that the RCM was behind the passenger side kick panel....and from what I've read on here, the RCM is under the cupholders. This is a 99 4x4, So where exactly is this RCM?

The older trucks had them behind the passenger side kick panel. If you are a little guy you can take the passenger seat out and poke your head up there and see it. Or you can remove the glove box and reach down.
