Exclamation MODS to increase MPG

Hey FRF. I recently joined this site, thus I'm a noob. Lol. Anyway, as the title states, I was wondering what other modifications I can do to increase my MPGs. So far I have done the Air Box Mod, cleaned the gunk off of the throttle body, added a K&N drop-in filter, and added a flowmaster super 44 with "Lightning Exhaust". Any opinions would be greatly apprieciated.

bed cover and maybe complete overhaul on the drivetrain fluids to full sythetic could get a few MPG.

Fuel filter changes when needed. weight reduction, take the bed off, zip tie your tail lights to the bumper. dont go over 3000 rpm and change your oil

I'd say driving habits are the largest determination. Baseline to that are the engine size and the rear axle ratio. I'd say some of the best mods that make significant changes in MPG would be replacing the belt driven fan with an electric 12v driven one. Or getting a secondary overdrive put in for highway use... That gets about a 12 MPG increase

You can't bolt on economy. Sure there are things you can do that will result in an increase in MPG. And the mods will cost about 100x more than the money you will save in fuel. One you have the truck running properly and at peak normal efficiency, it comes down to driving habits.

What is your MPG now fill up reset your trip odometer drive to a 1/4 tank fill up at the same gas pump divide miles driven by gallons filled = MPG I am getting 18.5 to 19.8 mPG in my 1999 with a V6 4.0 4wd. 2wd will get better the 4 with manual tranny will get best. Check tire presure avoid using ac change the air and fuel filter if dirty. What type of ranger do you have. Of course the most important mod you can do is modify your driving habits by not taking your truck over 2000 rpms and not letting it idel for long time. If you are getting like 12 mpg check your engine temp, it shoud be about in the middle, my termostat got stuck open and I had to replace it

Coast to lights, I rarely go over 2k... which is hard with my 3.0 and gears as such...

I do have 32s though so the best I can hope for is 17
