running rough/shaking at idle
I have a 2001 ranger 3.0 liter v6 flex fuel. After its sit and you start it up the whole truck shakes real bad then when the engine gets warmed up it smooths out some but still runs somewhat rough. anybody else have the same problem? any suggestions would be apreciated.. getting tired of it shaking.

I would do a tune up on it if you havent done that in a while. Plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter etc

Re: running rough/shaking at idle
ive done plugs, wires, and coil. The fuel filter is only a year old but it has been sitting for that whole year I don't know if that would make a difference or not.

Re: running rough/shaking at idle
if its been sitting then yeah, it may make a difference

Also swap out the IAC, that could be playing a role and wouldnt hurt to clean it or swap it out

Re: running rough/shaking at idle
ok you have plastic intake right? there is a round bulge that runs down the intake to the back. off that is a elbow in the back. it goes to the PCV. that tube rots and cause a huge vacuum leak. its prob that. check it out.

Mine is not a misfire though it just runs rough and shakes the truck. I have good compression. I don't know whether its an egr issue or what
