Default bad fuel pump?

I got in my truck to go to work the other morning and the truck seemed to have a little trouble idling. Then when I got on the gas it had some hesitation. It ended up making it to and from work but I noticed anytime I was barely on the gas so the RPMs were still low it would sputter like it wanted to stall out. This past weekend I changed the fuel filter thinking maybe I got some bad gas and it is still doing it. I think it is sputtering even worse now.

My truck has only sputtered occasionally when I was coming to a stopped the RPMs would dip low some, I started doing to routine maintenace and it went away. Now this is happening and Im not sure what it is. Do I have a bad fuel pump? I read somewhere that when fuel pumps go, they go. Well my truck is still starting and running.

update: truck idles fine now. It has hesitation when I kind of get on it from an idle. It also acted like I was going to stall once when I came to a stop.

If I gently get on the gas from an idle, there is no hesitation.

so confused. Any opinions would be helpful.

scan it and check the idle air control valve , also put some sea foam in the fuel and clean the whole system out. use someones fuel pressure guage and check pressure on the rail but i doubt it is that

check for vacuum leaks, you may have some hoses that are collapsing

new plugs and plug wires seemed to have done the trick. However, I did notice one time when coming to a stop it did sputter but I had my A/C on and someone has already warned me about the IAC sensors? apparently they go bad pretty quick so Ill be replacing that in the next couple of weeks.
