Default high reving noise

when i shift gears mostly 1st to 2nd high reving noise also a clunk noise or grinding when shifting doesnt happen all time

I have taken it to ford 3 times now, they say its typical for a 60k mile truck. i still dont believe them!

gotta be a bearing, i do not know which though since i am not good with manual trannys someone will chime in soon enough

i've got it narrowed down to the backlash or something in the rear suspension.
Bob- here are some things to check if you havent done so yet:
grease the slip-yoke
u-joints
rear diff fluid
trans fluid
(just throwing this idea in there) possibly the shift linkage?

Mine did that...it was the rear diff and bad universal joints..swaped out the rear end since ford got my parts to rebuild it wrong 4 times..it runs fine ever since
