Default Batterty?

Today my truck started fine drove 5 mins to the gas station filled up but when I went to start it everything was dead. My friend jumped me and it was dead as soon as I got home but is this my battery taking a crap or my alternator or? Help would be appreciated thanks!

Yea agree here. before you go dropping a 180 on a yellow top at least test it. Mine was shot tho. it was the original battery that came in the truck when it rolled off the lot in 03 i was very impressed lol.

Either could be causing it. Have them both tested before spending money.

High temps and too much jostling around can deplete a battery. I moved to TX from NY 3 years ago... in NY I never had to replace a battery, here it's the norm to replace every 3 years or so because of the heat.

Yeah I'm lucky if I get two years out of a battery here in Arizona
