Default Running Bad with NO CODES

Got a 93 Ranger with 3.0 V-6 5speed.I have checked compression,
replaced plugs,replaced plug wires,rotor button,air filter & dist. cap
You can be driving lets say 55 and back off the gas a little to slow
down say to 50 and it feels like it running on four cyl. Also feels like a misfire when you speed up....45 to 55.It bucks and jumps somewhat.
I bought a code reader from Amazon with number read out(NO LIGHTS)
to blink, just read to code and look it up.It reads 111 (System OK) ????
What gives.I think I got a code reader that tells lies.
ANY HELP.............Thanks in Advance

1995-1996 was the first year for distributor-less ignition.

Well then. I thought they did away with those in the 80's.

Nope surprisingly. All the Ford truck related vehicles had them until 96. I don't know about the cars. Heck, Dodge Rams still had distributors in 02.
