Default #6 imjector missfire?

Im new to this site so go easy on me...lol I just fixed my transmission pump, flexplate, and torque converter, after a month of waiting it runs again! Exept i forgot i had a random missfire before the trans let me down, the code reader only says #6 cylinder missfire. I pulled the plug and it sparks but when i unhook the wire on pourpose the plug doesnt smell like gas or look wet, im really not looking forward to tearing it apart AGAIN to find that its something else so im looking for advice. Also should i get 1 injector or replace all 6?

I had the same code problem, #6 cylinder misfire. It ran great. Took it to a shop and they said it needed a new injector. So I let them do it. No change. Still got #6 cylinder misfire. Said they did a compression test. Took it to a different shop. they did a compression test and it was bad on 5 and 6 cylinder. Turned out my truck needed a valve job. Check your compression.

It ran good all day today then it started running like crap for a minute so i put the pedal to the floor till i hit 80 then it ran good the rest of the day... Ill be sure to test my compression, last time i did it had 150-160 psi.

To me it sounds like a injector. Run some Sea Foam through the engine via the gas tank. The injector could be going bad or just clogged up with junk.

I use lucus fuel treatment everytime i put gas in it, ive been running premium gas to clean things up a lil bit and it seems to be working... Do u think too much fuel addative could clog an injector?

No it shouldn't. Also you can probably find a injector at a junk yard and soak it in injector cleaner and see if that works and it would be a heck of alot cheaper than a new one

I thought of that too, a new one is only 35$ but id hate to have an odd ball. Also if one is bad should i replace them all or cross my fingers?

With 4$ gas ,it might make more cents to make the thing get better mileage instead of worse.
