no start
hi everyone, i had an issue with my 91 3.0 this morning while driving the engine decided to shut off, slowly decreasing in RPM, then just shut off. all the lights are still on and it cranks fine and acts like it wants to start, and once i got it to start and then i pushed the gas and it died again, i dont know what would cause that, any help would be great! thank you.

Fuel related. Can you smell gas? Leak? You have gas in tank? Completly clogged fuel filter(not likely).fuel pump, fuel regulater? Fuel relay? When you turn the key on. Can you hear the fuel pump turning on

I reread your post. If the timing belt snaps(if you have one) on my truck it dies instantly and when you go to start it it will crank but that's is all

im not sure if i have a timeing belt but it would start up for a second and then just die again, i was thinking it could be the fuel filter or pump, but i was reading another post and it seems like the ignition module. any thoughts on that?

I am not sure about ignition module so I will not comment on that . I would check for the obois cheap stuff first . I mentioned this in my other post but you did not answer. when you turn the key to the on position can you hear the fuel pump start up ...you might want to take the gas cap off. Do you have a spark. Distributer cap rotor? gas? as you are trying to crank it I would think you should smel some gas?
