Default Transmission line wont screw into radiator properly...

I got a new radiator from advanced auto parts...When i went to connect the transmission lines i screwed them in all the way and made sure they were tight....when i start up the car it leaks from both the top line and the bottom line right where it connects to the transmission...i dont know what to do...is there like a gasket that i can buy to put there???

Have any of you ever had this problem?

you could try some teflon tape to see if that works.... it's pretty cheap at most home improvement stores..

Alright i found that the box had a little packet in it with adapters to connect the line to the radiator properly.

I went ahead and did the Teflon though any way just for added security. Thanks!

This same thing happened to me. Radiator failed so we took it to a place to get repaired and when i thought it was fixed, turns out i lost most of my trans fluid on the way home. kept trying to tighten but it kept leaking. Like said before, we put teflon tape on and no problems since! Hope this helps!
