Default taking off the stock fan

Whats the easiest way to keep the water pump from spinning while ur takin off the stock fan im havin a hard time figurin this one out tried a strap wrench already couldnt quite hold it, any ideas?

you can rent the tools at AZ. They didnt work for a shit for me tho, I just cut it off

Got someone to help? Easiest way I know keep the belt on. Have them hold the belt as you take it off.
also make sure u are going clockwise it is reverse threaded.

i think ill just cut it off if it isnt gonna mess up the water pump

im replacing it with an electric fan dont need the stock one

yes you can cut it. cut as close to the blade as possible. If done right, you will leave about 1/8" of nut past the water pump threads.

I also would recommend the flex fan. Much better imo. Another member just put one on, I think he wanted to go electric but changed his mind and was very impressed with the flex
