Default 3.0 liter lacking

I have a 99 ranger 4x4 with a 3.0 liter flex fuel in her. Is normal for those not to have the greatest acceleration? Or is something else wrong with her?

That's an opinionated question so there's no way to accurately say online. In my opinion, 3.0s don't have very good acceleration so it's probably fine... but if you noticed a drop in performance or a drop in gas mileage or some other troublesome sign then I would investigate further.

You just created another thread saying you want to sell the truck so why are you going to invest money into modding it if you trying to sell it? Seems kind of pointless to me.

My 3.0L Flex Fuel Auto-TX isn't exactly "spunky", even when pushed pretty hard to climb a hill or merge on the highway. It's also pinging like crazy when pushed hard, so there may be an issue there. It makes quite a bit of what seems to be tire noise. I've been considering having the alignment checked. I have only filled the truck a few times, but have gotten 16 to 20 MPG.
