Default 99 ranger flex fuel problem!!!!!!!!!

hi i have a 99 ford ranger 3.0. the check engine light had recently came on so i went to advanced auto and hooked it up to the machine. the tech told me the problem was the flex fuel sensor. i have replaced the sensor 3 times already and the check engine light has still not gone off is there anything to do with the sensor that would make the check engine light come on? like a loose wire or anything? please help i have been at this for days thanks

Default Re: 99 ranger flex fuel problem!!!!!!!!!

You more than likely have a wiring issue. You need to check resistance on the wires going from the E85 sensor (flex fuel sensor) to the pcm. The wires will be the same colors at the pcm that they are at the flex fuel sensor. Resistance through the wires should be no more than 5-10 ohms.
