Default misfire, cylinders 1-4

just changed plugs and wires, checked all spark and fuel componenets and everything is working just fine. any possible ideas on whats causing the misfire for 4 cylinders?

its an 01 3.0 flexfuel, automatic, 2wd. 2 main cats deleted, but throws no code for cats. only codes are for the misfire 1-4

My friend's 96 3.0 (non flex fuel) has coil packs, I'm assuming it's the same for this engine.

As for the topic, I can't help much, I have never dealt with misfiring on either my 2.3 or my friends 3.0

its coil pack...no distributor cap. we checked all the wires like 85 million times, theyre all getting spark and are all wired right

could it just be a sensor causing this problem? ive been reading up on the cam position sensor and some of the symptoms are what im experiencing, but it didnt throw a code for that. only threw codes for the misfires

try fuel filter or fuel pump. the problem may be bad fuel pressure

i dont think its that because it starts right up everytime, but thats what im going to check. just got a new crank angle sensor and cam position sensor for it and that wasnt the problem

any other ideas people?

is it running rough? idling rough? shaking? if so try the coil pack (also called ignition coil). thats whats wrong with mine right now, causing misfires for cylinders 3 and 4. Its a very common ford problem

runs and idles rough, and in drive the idle drops to about 600 and its rough. on thursday me and alex (s13minus1) changed plugs and wires and that didnt help, then we got a new coil pack from kraagen and that didnt help either. we then unplugged a vacuum line and fed gas in directly and that didnt help, so i dont think its a problem with the fuel pump or fuel filter. at this point im thinking its either the ecu or the block itself, but im gonna take it somewhere in the next couple days
