Default How do you pull the 3.0 liter engine

I feel stupid asking this question but i dont want to **** up my engine.
I know that i have to disconnect every thing from the block. The only thing i cant figure out is where to attach the hoist to. Since the engine does not have the standard eyelets that i am use to having to attach the hoist to. can anyone help me with this? Cuz all i want to do is replace my oil pan gasket and call it a day and since every where has said it is easiest to pull the engine to do it, I figuered i would go that route. Though i dont understand why they would engineer the engine that way to begin with.

You can replace the gasket with the engine still in the truck. It's just a thousand times harder to do and get done right.

I usually pull the upper intake off (makes it easier to get the bell housing bolts too) and bolt a chain on the back of one head and the front of the opposite head.

Just did mine to replace the oil pan.

To put it back in I had to remove the load leveler though..It was just in the way too much. So I just used on bolt diagonally on each head. That worked fine and much more room with the firewall.
