Default The reason for my madness!

Last week i finnaly got my lowering kit in the mail and my father and i had it done in about 2 days. I was so excited to have all of this done and have no problems at all...

Then the Sh#t hit the fan. BIG TIME!!!

I was on my way to work on saturday like i do every week, driving the same route i drive every week, when all of the sudden i lost oil pressure. i was only going 60 mph when i noticed a drop in power. then i looked down to the gauges to see the pressure gauge at zero. i pulled off to the side of the throughway expecting a large puddle and trail of oil under my truck, and found nothing. so i tried to start it up again and this is when i heard the loud clunking coming from the bottom end. From there my truck was towed back to my house where today i started to remove everything so i can pull the motor. i am pulling the motor regardless of the outcome to get into the oil pan because i can not get it while its still in the truck.

If anyone can help me try to figure this out it would be greatly appreciated.

IN order to put another 3.0 liter motor in the truck would i have to change anything (ie. the computer and such?) because im thinking its gonna be easier to find a donor motor rather than a whole truck. the other option i was looking at was getting a donor truck that had the 3.0 ltr and was 5 speed ( Mine is the automatic transmission which is the one downfall of the truck in my eyes). Does anyone on here have any experience with this? i figure im going to need the trans, computer ,pedal assembly, and drive shaft. anything else?

thanks,
Eric

Whatever you do, motor only our motor and trans, try to get the whole vehicle next to yours. It makes it way easier to get writing, the computer, or anything else you may need. But yes, motor, trans, computer, pedal and master cylinder assembly, and drive shaft.

Well if you pulling the motor, maybe you should upgrade to a 4.0? Or atleast put some performance parts on that 3.slo.

^ 4.0 FTW. Easy swap if you're already replacing the motor. Way worth it.

I think that and the motor mounts are different. Google it, and you should find a few swap threads.
