Default Vacuum Lines

I have a 1998 4x4 3.0 5 speed.

The guy before me honky rigged the vacuum lines. The question is I have two vacuum lines running under my coolant and washer fluid reservoir. I've tried chasing them but they seem to go inside the body. Anybody know what these are for?

There is a vent for the A/C fan behind the glove box. It is just a flap that opens and closes as its needed and it should be operated by the line that you are talking about.

do the vacuum lines run from the left side of the engine down by the radiator? i believe they may have something to do with the cruise control. i could be wrong but i think cody is talking about the blend door which opens and closes to allow heat into the cab (your temp knob controls it), and that is controlled by your accuator (the box sitting behind your glove box with 5 wires coming out of a connector) but i could be wrong so pictures would be nice.
