Default Lines to tap for oil and tranny cooler?

Hopefully this summer I want to do some cooling upgrades on my truck. I plan on putting in a E-Fan, Heat Sink Dual pass Transmission Cooler and oil cooler (like pictured), Im also goin to get a B&M drainplug kit and transmission temp guage (sender screws into the drainplug kit, pretty cool), get an oil temp guage, and Ill also try to install a shift kit into my tranny.

As far as the tranny cooler, Ill probably mount it to the frame and will just find a return line from the oem cooler in the radiator connect into to.

My real concern is with the oil cooler. I want to try and install it under the shelf that holds the rack and pinnion on the XLT coil sprung rangers (dont worry, im creating a front skid plate so itll be protected). I just have no idea where any lines are that flow oil???? That also means I have no idea where you tap into for an oil temp guage?

Im going with these coolers because they are small and compact, I dont need a large one with a fan, and they have a pretty good rep for cooling abilities. Plus they come in different lengths - and colors if that matters.

well There is a plate that you install were your oil filter goes that allows you to install your oil filter in a different spot. Hoses come off of that plate. I guess you could pass the oil through an oil cooler and also tap a location for a temp sensor.

unless you want to tap into your pan and hook up a pump to circulate it, or do like the guy up there suggested, i dont think there is another way.

You can buy a sandwich adapter from summit. This is designed for oil coolers. Make sure you get high temp/high pressure hose tho. Trans line wont cut it, trust me . I have a thread on here with a sandwich adapter installed. We also tapped the side for an oil pressure gauge.

I think Ill end up just going the oil filter relocation route, its seems to be the best route, just going to cost about $50 for a kit from summit. If I can find somewhere suitable to mount it Ill get the dual filter kit, since it will add a quart of fluid and dual filtration and I can just run the cooler on the return line from the filters and since I should have plenty of places to put my oil temp guage sender if I still decide I need one or not.

Can you put a T into a line that hold the oil temp guage sender? Or does it need to be tapped into something

this is what I will most likely follow to some extent minus the horribly expensive braided line and I shouldnt need to get elbows etc.

Oil temperature gauge is redundant since oil temperature will always = engine temp anyway. I say skip it.
