Need some help.. noob questions.

Hey guys, i'm honestly don't know if this is the right thread but it is in my engine bay so... I was wondering if someone could tell me where this thing goes.

I think it's the PCV valve or so i was told by the guys at Autozone. He said he had put it back in but it's been flopping around in there apparently.. There's also this spring where the throttle body is.. i was wondering if it needs to be connected or if it was somehow just put there by accident..

the first one is the pcv valve and not really sure where it goes in the 3.0.... and the spring looks like a throttle return spring to me.... and should hook to the bracket right there around it....

Yeah i saw that there too.. I gotta wait to get the cover off though. Don't got any tools with me. I just noticed it today. What's it do anyway?

if it's anything like the old carb engines it pulls the accelerator back shut so it doesnt stick open.

the pcv valve goes ontop of the the valve cover right behind the intake manifold, right near the firewall. It is a PITA get at but it definitely should be plugged in ASAP

I just went out and felt around a little. I just tried putting it back in but god damn you were right about it being a pita. I'll finish it in the morning when i can actually see. Just for clarification, the smaller side is the one you put in?

the silver side slides into the valve cover... the smaller side is in a hose...
