What's going on that you feel the need to put Seafoam in your tank?

If you want to clean your injectors and combustion chamber, there's better products to do that. I suggest Chevron's product primarily because my Dad was involved in the development of Techron and it's still regarded as one of the best cleaners. I'll admit I'm a bit biased, but Exxon used it as their fuel additive for years until they got around to developing their own so I can't be that far off.

A normal seafom treatment is as follows:

1/3 of a can in the gas tank. Cleans crap from the fuel injectors.

1/3 of a can in the oil. Then change the oil after driving around for a day or two. Cleans crap from the crankcase.

1/3 of a can in the through the brake booster vacuum line to clean the intake, valves, and cylinders of crap.

You can adjust this to your hearts content, though I wouldn't put more than 1/2 a can in the oil for obvious reasons. The gas tank and vacuum line can use as much of the can as you want. Lots of people with carboned up engines see great results from this, mostly by way of the vacuum method.

I have heard good things about the Techron for the gas tank as well.

Howdy, my automatic (remote?) locks try to work but can't quite muster up enough power to make the locks work. Might that be the actuator switch? Thanks for any info...TIM

And this has what to do with seafoam and engine performance?? You already made a thread about this.

Well to do the brake booster one you would PUT IT in the brake booster line. So that when your done it's NOT in the CAN anymore. The CAN is just supposed to be where it starts out but it doesn't stay there. Here:

Haha. It's kind of a balancing act. I usually pour the seafoam into a plastic cup. Then you use your thumb over the end of the brake booster line to control the flow and slowly let it suck the seafoam out of the cup. You can just jam it in and let take a huge gulp or it will stall out.
