If you're getting around 20, you're doing fine. I get 21-22 at best with mine.

Switching to a more car type highway gears in the rear end would help. I have 3.45s..but I wouldn't go any smaller.. The truck is already such a dog off the line. Some 2.73s and it would probably barely take off lol..but on the hwy it'd probably be fine and I bet you'd get about 5 more mpgs if you did all hwy driving.

I get in between 15 and 20. My 35" tires make my truck run rich for some reason

Uh, no they don't. For someone who is a self-proclaimed better mechanic than everyone else here, that is absolutely laugh out loud hilarious. Maybe you can use your self proclaimed superior salary to buy a book on how engines work.

That's a vent thread, these two follow each other, although the anger seems to come from one side more then the other who tends to make a smartass remark and move on

He just keeps posting after me on all the threads I post on. I can care less of what he says. Maybe i offended him idk Lol if he lived closer to me I'd worry about it and smash his head in if he kept talking his smack but I told him no hard feelings. I'm just here to chit chat about our love for rangers and get and share info.

Yeah, that's what I have noticed, to be honest a couple things you have said have been kinda stupid, but hell one of my best friends is an arrogant *******, and its hard to get me worked up on that kind of crap

As with the other thread, I've been participating in this thread long before you even joined the forum so I don't think I'm following you around. Not surprising you're arrogant enough to think that though. Your threats of physical violence pretty much solidify everything else I've said.

I just replaced the front tires and an alignment and made a huge differance. Of course my front end was WAY messed up, to the point I had a loose upper control arm.
Right now getting about 21 highway. Next step is going to be replacing the trans fluid and a fuel filter, then a bed cover.

Keep in mind the added weight with a bed over when you choose one. An open bed with the tailgate up is actually quite aerodynamic on its own. Bed covers can enhance it slightly, however it is very easy to get one that weighs enough to negate the aerodynamic gains, or one that costs more than you'll ever save in fuel.

However of course the covers do have many practical purposes in life besides fuel economy so keep function in mind as well.
