Heater hose tee - for what??
The heater hoses have tees on them with hoses that run to and from the pcv - what in the world for? Is it necessary?
I noticed a nick or something (it's almost like a burn mark but the hose feels ok) on one of the hoses that run from the tee to the pcv, not sure if I need to replace that hose or not - I'm sure that isn't a cheap hose with the tee and what not. But what is that loop for? I'd have to drain some coolant out of the system to change that hose, correct? edit: the reason I ask is, I can't even see the valve on the bottom of the radiator..... 2003 with 3.0 Last edited by JSobo; 10-19-2012 at 05:32 AM.

I'm not sure which years/engines, but some coolant passages in the intake manifold. Could that be what you're seeing?

By the way u described it, this must be what ur refering to. I had no idea why Ford did that either.
