Default 2000-2003 flex fuel motor

I have a 2000 ranger the engine is bad.Will a engine from a 2003 ranger which is also a flex fuel work in the 2000 ranger both are 3.0L ffl motors.Is there any swapping and things like that.Just wondering if they are compatible.

Do you mean the wiring harness for the motor.Does it have a different connecter and or could i splice it in to the old harness.

yes the wiring harness for the engine

It may have different connections not positive.
