Whinning noise
I have a whinning noise coming from under my ranger, 2002 V-6 3.0 Flex Fuel. It sounds exactly like the power steering unit going bad, but that isn't where it is coming from. I hear it when it is running, in park, and can be heard more when inside the vehicle and sounds louder standing on the side of vehicle than in front. Can't hear it much around the engine. Any ideas? Took it to Ford Dealer and he couldn't hear anything bad.

Belt maybe? No idea without hearing the sound or actually being able to check it out myself

i had a 91 and the fuel pump in the tank whinned kinda, maybe this is what youre hearing? maybe there isnt a fuel pump in the tank idk just an idea
