Default Differential / Gears

So im trying to figure out weather or not its necesarry to change the gears on my truck after a lift and bigger wheels. What gears are recommended. I do a lot of highway and street driving 33 12.50 15 wheels thanks peeps

okay 3.73 with 33s is gonna be tough...best to change to 4.10 even better t change to 4.88 since ull be in there

i know people run 33s with 3.73 but it takes a long time to get going from a dead stop

boost is putting it loosely....itll help with hwy driving (as far as i know) and its just overral easier on ur trans

about 200 or 250 for new ones....

pricing depends if u grab them from the jy (disclaimer on grabbing from jy i am just rambling i jave no expierence w this isnce i already have 4.10s)....check the classifieds i saw someone selling their 4.10s and l/s

^ That was for a 7.5 diff. He has 8.8 do a whole rebuild for front and rear gears is going to be without lockers and WITH labor costs about $1000. Well worth it in gas mileage and transmission stress will be a LOT less

why does it which axle length it is? axles gears would still be the same....explain pls lol
