Default 92 3.0 what part makes the truck idle high when cold

I am still on the hunt for my trucks issue. No check engine light. When I first cold start my truck I have to give it gas for about 60 seconds or it will fall on its face. After driving the truck a while it starts no problem, just has very low idle sometimes. I am thinking whatever part that tells the truck to idle up when cold might be a good place to start.

Any insight appreciated. The truck takes 200mile trips on the eway with good gas mileage and no issue. Simply idles like hell.

I think that is all controlled by the IAC valve.

Idle air control valve, it is located on the throttle body assy, it is a electronic controlled air bypass ( vacuum leak) at cold engine temps, same as holdong your foot on the gas. check to make sure it is plugged in. if you can locate a used one from a wrecking yard, they are very simple to swap out.
