hi guys, I was wondering if i could tape the pvc hose as a temporary fix until I am able to get the part from the dealership?

My truck is a 2003 3.0 and shows codes p0171 and p0174. my truck dies at idle as rpm's drop.

i cleaned the mass airflow sensor before i found the hold in the pvc elbow hose.

also, if you could write in regular terms because i am an auto newby. I have also seached the forums but havent read a thread with a temporary pcv hose fix until i get the part.

Yeah you could probably tape it up untill you can replace the elbow, shouldn't hurt anything

what type of tape should i use?

Electrical tape or duct tape should work fine.

I would tape it with duct tape. Wrap it around several times.
