Post Spark plug problem?

Earlier today me and my buddy were trying to install new spark plugs because my truck has been sluggish and drinking too much gas; so i wanted to check the spark plugs(the air and fuel filter are fine). we got 2 of em out but all the rest were either impossible to get to, or were corroded to the point where it was near impossible to take out.
So we just said "fuck it!" and put the two plugs back in and decided that ill just have my mechanic do it for me.

So later i was driving. It was still sluggish and hesitating. I was slowly accelerating at about 2500 rpms from 40-50 mph. The whole truck shuddered, and i heard a loud click/pop and my gas pedal, kind of, jumped with the sound. After that point it drove fine and i got home and it is now sitting in my driveway.

Whether these two incidences have anything to do with each other i have no idea.

Any advice on what it could be? I am going to bring it to my mechanic anyway, but i would much rather know what to expect and if i can do anything about it. Thanks!

Did you pop the hood to look at the engine when you got back?

You can spray PB blaster on the plugs to loosen them up. Let it sit for 10 minutes. then slowly try to tighten and loosen it. Sometimes turning it to tighten it will help break it loose. When you put new plugs inh put anti seize on the threads.
