Angry High idle and extreme crankcase vacuum

I am having an issue with a high idle about 1500 rpms and sometimes sticks at 1800 (fun in the icey weather). I have done the spray over the top of the engine with carb cleaner looking for leaks to no avail. I have replaced the PCV valve and the IAC valve. I also backed off on the idle screw and it is closing the throttle body fully.
When you pull the oil cap it dies after a bit and has a strong vacuum there. If I pull the small hose off in the center of the breather hose that goes to the top of the passenger side valve cover it idles down, but my oil pressure drops to zero on the dummy gauge.
I have recently done a head job about 3k miles ago and this has just came up ran fine till now. It runs good other than this issue. I do know i likely in need of replacing the crank angle sensor as it is making noise. Other than that I have thrown my hands up in disgust.... Please help. I am at witts end

Sooner: I found my issue to be that I had installed the manifold gaskets upside down. The vacuum issue on mine did not start right away and would go away at speed (RPM). I had to rely upon a mechanic to diagnose the problem. In the early part of trying to find the problem they said it was the Crank angle sensor, Power steering pump to the torque converter. The reason for my head change was the compression on two cylinder was not in tolerances.

I have no answer to your problem but would look at compression to plugs to coil. Might also spray carb cleaner around on and around the intake and look for any kind of leak.

Enjoy
