ok here is the deal. i have a 2000 4x4 with flex fuel. the problem i have is the fact that every time that i go to buy something for the truck i gota tell them that i need a part for the 3.0L and NOT the 4.0L. every thing under the hood is off!!!! from the plug wires to the air filter needs to be for a 3.0L. now under the hood and in the owners book it tells me that it is a 4.0L and NOT a 3.0L............ any one having this problem???? im thinking that ford messed up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

The owners book would not specify if you have a 3.0 or 4.0.

I'm confused as to what made you originally think you have a 3.0L and what "under the hood" makes you think you have a 4.0L....

the vin# and the sticker by the radiator tells me its a 4.0l. when i got my plug wires i got the ones for the 4.0 and they where to short. went back and got the ones for the 3.0 an they fit. plus the 3.0 is the only one that has the flex fuel package

if its flex feul, it can only be 3.0. the 4.0 was not offered in flex fuel

post a pic of the engine please and we will settle it for you once and for all though

well that sounds about right, it's their data base, not your "weird truck"....
every time I go get parts I have to tell them its for a '99 2.5L Ranger.. cause they say there is no such thing as a '99 Mazda B2500, lol... and my brake set up is diff than mazda b2500 or 2.5 ranger.. my brakes match B3000

You know, it was just air from the a/c directed into the glove box. I thought it was like some sort of cooler at first!
